Hi, I'm stephen
A unique blend of career, experience, and insights have led me to my coaching practice - my passion.
I discovered a life coach at a time when I was facing many professional and personal challenges, including the loss of loved ones on account of sickness and old age. Coaching helped me find an empowered path through these challenges and it inspired me to explore coaching studies for myself. I have obtained the Core Essentials Certificate from Coach U and I am actively pursuing my Associate Certified Coach designation through the International Coach Federation.
I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. My education followed a path through undergraduate (St. Francis Xavier University) and graduate studies, focused on Corporate Crime (Queen's University) and Law (University of Calgary). I was called to the Alberta Bar in 1991 and, for over 22 years, represented many clients through all levels of the Alberta Court system, on a wide array of civil and criminal matters, most often as a sole practicing lawyer.
Throughout most of my adult life, I have been curious about what I find meaningful, and that has led me to study a wide range of topics including, psychology, parapsychology, sociology, history, philosophy, religion, and music among others. I believe they all have helped me grow and learn more about myself and the world around me.
